With a history spanning some 70 years, including more than 30 movies and scores of related games and other media, Godzilla is a global pop culture icon that has spawned many myths and rumors. The folks at Screen Rant decided to set the record straight on 10 particular falsehoods about the franchise.

Godzilla is one of the most recognizable figures in all of popular culture. But as with anything that has become so enshrined in our collective imagination, there are more than a few falsehoods about Godzilla that many people continue to believe.
