Christopher Lee holiday song “Jingle Hell”

Every monster movie fan should know about Christopher Lee, who has appeared in lots of horror films, including Hammer’s Dracula series, plus has appeared in big fantasy film series like Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. What you may have missed was his heavy metal releases—including more than one offering heavy metal-battered versions of Christmas songs.
“My great grandparents were opera singers,” he told BBC 6Music. “I suppose you could say it’s genetic. I inherited an instrument.”

From his 2013 release A Heavy Metal Christmas Too, the single “Jingle Hell” also includes classically trained soprano Li Li. The song made it to #18 on the Billboard charts. This makes Lee the oldest musician who has ever charted.
In a video message to fans, Sir Christopher said of the “Jingle Bell” riff, “I sing another version. It’s a bit more naughty. It’s not bad—I mean ‘bad’ in the sense of unpleasant. It’s entertaining. It’s certainly different.”
