Netflix planning live-action adaptation of hit comic series
The fourth collected volume of the horror comic book series Something is Killing the Children has been nominated for the 2022 Bram Stoker Awards in the category of Superior Achievement in a Graphic Novel. Created by writer James Tynion IV and artist Werther Dell’Edera, Something is Killing the Children Vol. 4 (BOOM! Studios) reveals the origin of Erica Slaughter, monster hunter.

About the creators
Comic book writer James Tynion IV is best known for his work on the Batman franchise at DC Comics, his DC Black Label series The Nice House on the Lake and his independent series Department of Truth and Something Is Killing the Children. In 2022, he won three Eisner Awards for his work. He is also a nine-time nominee for the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Comic Book, the most nominations of any writer, winning once in 2016.
Italian comic book artist Werther Dell’Edera provided interior art for the unreleased comic Aliens: Colonial Marines—Rising Threat for Dark Horse Comics, as well as Marvel Comics, and BOOM! Studios hit Something is Killing the Children.
