About the book Prophecy of a Vampire
It’s been almost a century since Zachary Philips was turned into a creature of the night. A brooding man, with a thirst for freedom, and for blood. When he hears of the prophesied Vampire Queen being reborn, he hatches a plan to gain his freedom. Soon, their lives collide and although they are opposites, their sizzling sexual chemistry binds them together.
It doesn’t take too long before Ivy Litt finds herself ensnared by Zachary. She also realizes she can’t stay away from him. If only she knew about the web of lies he was spinning.
Will Zachary’s past and cry for freedom ruin his one chance of happiness, or will Ivy’s thread of humanity change the course of what could be something special?
About author Tania Gold
Tania Gold is a wife and mother of two from Sydney, Australia, who found passion for writing at an early age. She writes romantic fiction, with a focus on contemporary and paranormal romance. As of 2023, she has two books published, with another two under her belt.
Writing has always been a part of her. At first, it started out as short stories as a child, then poetry as a teen and as an adult, it turned into full-length novels. Gold is a strong believer in harnessing a talent, and writing is a passion of hers, which she considers worth harnessing.
“My belief is that engagement with a reader is very important,” Gold says on her website. “It is not all about me and my imagination, rather what does the reader have to say about it. I write paranormal romance, so I enjoy discussing it with readers who have the same interests. The same goes for contemporary romance lovers. I enjoy discussing the genre and seeing what others look for in stories, not only what I like. By engaging this way, the reader also feels part of the process.”
Tania Gold Q&A: Prophecy of a Vampire
How do you describe your fiction that you write?
I write paranormal romance, where I create worlds that are occupied by paranormal creatures. My main focus is vampires, however I include witches (seers) and werewolves, with mentions of demons and fae.
How do you explain your unique spin on Prophecy of a Vampire?
Rather than humans being bitten, or born as vampires, I thought it would be interesting to have them turn into one based on a prophecy. I chose for it to surround three humans that suddenly turn into vampires on their twenty first birthday.
This leads to the characters discovering new realms, eagerly questioning the hidden meaning behind the prophecy, all whilst developing feelings for each other.
Of course, there is a delicious cliff hanger, so there is book two on the horizon too!
What inspired you to go in this direction?
I love vampire stories, especially when they have a romantic tie to it. I wrote Prophecy of a Vampire as a romance because I wanted to provide something fresh and unique.
When and how did you become interested in writing your brand of [your genre] stories? (Childhood reading, movies, life experiences, what?)
I’ve read many YA and Adult Vampire romance tropes which also helped inspire the worlds I create. Film and TV series also helped pique my interest in vampires, however it was mainly books that got me interested in paranormal romance.
What are your favorite things about the section of the genre you occupy?
The ability to create whatever you want when writing paranormal romance. Not always with vampires, but most paranormal creatures can be anything you want and that's what makes it fun.
A world filled with mystical creatures and adventures!
What are the best ways for fans to keep track of what you’re writing (and related author news about you)?
My Facebook page, website blog and Instagram would be my main ways to keep track of what books I am currently working on, or have published. I also update my Amazon profile as my portfolio grows with publications.
