Werewolf by Night: Early Viewers Love MCU’s Halloween Special

Coming to Disney+ on October 7,Werewolf by Night is a TV special based on the Marvel Comics character. The special is produced by Marvel Studios, and follows a secret group of monster hunters as they compete for a powerful relic while going up against a dangerous monster.

Inspired by horror films of the 1930s and ‘40s, the chilling special aims to evoke a sense of dread in the macabre with plenty of suspense and scares along the way as they explore a new corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Directed by Michael Giacchino, Werewolf by Night is written by Heather Quinn and Peter Cameron. The program stars Gael García Bernal as Jack Russell / Werewolf by Night, along with Laura Donnelly and Harriet Sansom Harris.
As far as its comic book roots, “Werewolf by Night” is the name for two werewolves in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The first Werewolf by Night debuted in 1972’s Marvel Spotlight #2.
